Travelling the world since about 35 years, Wolfgang Peters has made the world his home. Born in Germany on the small island of Sylt, he always wanted to see the world and travel to its remote corners. So he left the country of his birth and went to live in Egypt as a young man of only 21 years. Going there because of the pictures he had seen of the pharaonic monuments, he did not stay for them, but for Cairo, a city he had learned to love and to admire. For him it still is the most exciting city in the world.

He began to travel throughout Egypt. The Middle East, Sudan, the Yemen and Ethiopia where on his early list of exotic places he wanted to explore. He learned how to see things, how to travel, how to admire these strange places, their people and their culture. He’d love to travel Africa from Alexandria to Cape town and from Ethiopia to Mauretania, from the north to the south and from the east to the west.

He started to work for renowned travel agencies mainly from Germany but also from Great Britain, showed his clients places like Morocco, the Yemen, India, Spain and even Ireland. He never lost his curiosity for strange or foreign cultures and he still finds many places he wants to discover and to get to know about. After having been to more than 140 countries world over his next goals are Alaska’s unknown wildernesses, Hawaii and Cameroon, Madagascar and the big polar bears in Canada’s north.

On all his travels he took pictures which he shows at lectures given by him on luxury cruise ships, sometimes underplayed with music, opera or stories he reads to his audience. So his pictures begin to move, to play, they are partly backdrop, the stage or even the  actor of his works.

In 1997 he founded the  , an idea of showing the world to people of all ways of life through his own eyes. He plans the routes, chooses the special hotels wherever possible, putting a main thought on good regional restaurants as well as a good bottle of wine and always finds places not to crowded by others, so he can sit and read to his audience all those little stories and fairy tales they are so fond off.

Wolfgang Peters also works for the renowned Hapag-Lloyd cruise ship company, being a lecturer on board and guiding their clientele on their famous private cruise flights. With only 40 Passengers on a Boeing 737 or an Airbus 319 it offers very unusual routes which can not bee combined by by normal air traffic.
